Breakfast at the Kezar, San Francisco, CA

We went to watch football at the Kezar, a bar that is very loud and packed, and full of Eagles fans. We got a seat at the bar, which is about all that I can say that is good about this place, seeing as I'm not a fan of loud and crowded venues. The food was ok, but, you don't really go here for the food.

Cheeseburger and Fries $9
Decent, but not at all memorable.

Large Chicken Wings $14
This was a lot of chicken wings for the money.

The (surprisingly good) Taco Shop at Underdogs Sports Bar, San Francisco, CA

The sports bar around the corner from us opened up a slow-food taco shop recently. The food was reasonably priced and quite good. As far as sports bars go, this is a pretty good one by my standard. There are lots of seats and lots of bar tenders and they label the TVs with which games will be on so you don't have to wonder, or ask people.

Carne Asada Quesodilla
This was the biggest quesodilla I have ever had. The meat was tender. It was super cheesy. And it was all contained within a pleasantly crunchy flour tortilla.

Carnitas Burrito Con Todo $8.50
This burrito was huge and it was packed with tasty goodies (and no rice...yay).

Chicken Wings at Bards, Philadephia, PA

After our pathetic meal at Tavern 17, we headed to one of Giao's old college haunts and ordered a lot of wings.

Lackluster Lunch at The Royal Exchange, San Francisco, CA

Giao had a lunch with co-workers at Royal Exchange, a decent pub that's not so great on the food front.

Clam Chowder $5
This was actually quite good. Lots of clams.

Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries $10
Edible, but not great.

Big Burger at 21st Amendment, San Francisco, CA

The food was good, as usual, but the service was uncharacteristically slow.

Bacon Cheese Burger $13
This burger is huge and heavy on the bacon. It's also nice to have the choice of salad or fries to offset the bacon.

Fantastic Bacon Cheese Burger from 21st Amendment

Our friend, K, took Alexis out for lunch at 21st Amendment. It was a cold rainy day and a big greasy burger was in order.

Bacon Cheeseburger with Onion Rings $13
This was a huge and delicious burger. Part of what made it great was the very generous portion of bacon. The onion rings were almost overkill, but Alexis polished them off anyway.

Lackluster Dinner at Gordon Biersch

Giao went out for a work dinner at Gordon Biersch.

Appetizer Platter $15.25
Far too expensive for the quality of the food. Eggrolls, potstickers and wings.

Not sure what this was called or how much it was, but the shrimp were ok.

Ribeye with Gorgonzola $26.95
Horrible steak. Overdone, low quality meat, bad all around.

Lunch at Elephant and Castle, San Francisco

Giao went to another work lunch. Because of the drenching downpour this morning, he didn't bring his camera, so he whipped out the trusty iPhone.

Pub Pretzels - $6.50
These were the prefect little treat on a gloomy day. Buttery and hot, with a tasty mustard.

Chicken Pot Pie - 10.5
Too small, too few chicken, too many mushrooms.

Quesadillas at Norton's Vault

Chicken Quesadillas $7
Usually we stick with the wings at Norton's, but today we saw some nachos pass by and they looked pretty good so we decided to give them a try. They ended up being quite good, packed with chicken and cheese and topped with fresh salsa.

Snack at Jillian's, San Francisco, CA

Spinach Dip $8
Usually we just eat wings at Jillian's but this time we went for the spinach dip and it was a good decision. It was creamy and bad for you, yet packed with spinach, making you feel just a bit better.

Black and Blue Salad at The Royal Exchange, San Francisco, CA

This pub in the financial district actually had some decent food.

Black and Blue Salad $15
This daily special was a tasty salad with blue cheese dressing and grilled flank steak, bacon, and lots of fresh, yummy veggies. I asked for the steak medium rare and was pleasantly surprised that it arrived that way.

Dinner at Norton's Vault, San Francisco, CA

Hot Wings $4
Tiny, but tasty. Football season started again, and that brings 1/2 price hot wings and other goodies. Icing on the cake for Giao, one of the few things that makes football season bearable for Alexis.

16 very tiny wings. This place is overpriced, but you are there for the 20 tvs with sports on, not the food.

Snack from Norton's Vault, San Francisco, CA

Buffalo Wings $7
Since they took the jalapeno poppers off the menu, these are the only good snack left at Norton's. But, they have dice, and table service, so it doesn't matter too much.

Snack at Gordon Biersch at SFO

Alexis tried, and failed, to get a decent snack at the airport.

Chili Sauce Chicken Wings $8
Expensive and disgusting. These were slathered in a sickenly sweet, snot textured sauce that seemed not to have any spice at all.

Snack at Norton's Vault, San Francisco, CA

Drinks and snacks at a Financial district bar. We like this bar because they have dice for us...we eat the food because it is there, but it isn't that great. Also, we were unhappy to find out that they have replaced a bar food staple, jalapeno poppers, with food that attempts to be more sophisticated, and it was not a good move.

Wings $7
Small, but tasty.

Cashew and Chicken Spring Rolls $7
Inedible. These were doughy, and the filling was gooey and weird.

Dinner at Harrington's Bar and Grill, San Francisco, CA

Afterwork drinks and dice playing required some sustenance as well...

Corned Beef and Cabbage $10
The veggies were bland and overboiled. The corned beef was a bit dry, but ok with the horseradish.

Chicken Tenders $7
The best fried chicken snack around.
