Lunch from Kokkari, San Francisco, CA
Kokkari is an upscale Greek restaurant next door to our office. Today we catered in...
Halibut with artichokes and olives $20
This was actually very good. The texture was perfect. It was strangely only browned on both sides.
Shortribs $21
This was a bit of a misnomer since this was really more like pot roast than anything else. However, it was decent, and the baked cippollini onions were sweet and soft.
Greek Spreads with Flatbread $8 (this was the equivalent of 3 orders)
Everyone loves these spreads and they are pretty addictive. There is a tzaziki sauce, an eggplant and onion mash and some creamy-pinkish thing. Not sure what it is but it tastes the best.
Small Giao Rant: I think Kokkari either has good connections or good marketing folks because it's consistently listed on tourist type best places to eat in San Francisco, which is preposterous.
