Dinner at Home
Salad Nicoise with Seared Ahi
We picked up some ahi tuna at Costco and so we decided to marinate and sear it for a nice salad that hails from Nice. Although in Nice they generally use a tuna confit.
Marinade for Tuna
-2 tb rooster sauce
-2 tb soy
-1ts miso
Salad Components (per person)
-1/3 lb tuna, marinated and seared approx 30 seconds on each side, then thinly sliced
-2 cups greens
-1 small tomato, diced
-1 mini bell pepper, thinly sliced
-1 hard boiled egg, halved and thinly sliced
-approx. 10-15 french green beans, sauteed in butter, salt and pepper
-7-10 small black olives
Balsamic Vinagrette
-1 part dijon
-2 parts balsamic vinager
-2 parts olive oil
