Dinner at Home
Grilled Porterhouse with Garlic Basil Butter and Creamed Spinach
Creamed Spinach
-3 lbs spinach
-3 slices bacon, diced
-1/2 onion, diced
-5 cloves garlic, minced
-1/4 ts nutmeg
-1 cup heavy cream
-1/4 cup parmasean
-salt and pepper to taste
Boil spinach in 3 batches for 1 minute. Squeeze all water out of spinach and roughly chop. Sautee the bacon, onions and garlic until crispy and brown. Drain excess fat. Add the remaining ingredients sautee until fully incorporated.
Garlic Basil Butter
-3 cloved garlic, minced
-1 handful basil, minced
-4 tb butter, softened
Mash all ingredients together. Serve over steaks or vegetables.
