Dinner at Home


Sausages and Peppers

-8 Italian sausages
-10 baby bell peppers, sliced
-1 large onion, sliced
-1 head garlic, minced
-1 large handful of basil, minced
-1 can diced tomatos, with juice
-salt and pepper to taste

Brown the sausages in a bit of olive oil. Cut each in thirds and set aside. Sautee onions, garlic and peppers in the sausage fat. Season with salt and pepper. When soft, add the sausages back into the pan. Add the tomatos and cover. Simmer for at least 1/2 hour. Right before serving add the basil and stir.


Cheesy Cauliflower Puree

-1 head cauliflower, boiled till tender, drained and cooled
-1/2 cup grated parmasean
-1/2 cup grated cheddar
-1/2 cup cream
-2 tb butter
-salt and pepper to taste

Puree all ingredients, until smooth, with an immersion blender over medium heat.


Chocolate Cookies
These were very good, but it wouldn't be fair to claim the recipe was my own--it was classic Nestle Tollhouse.
