Newport Seafood Resaurant, Rowland Heights, CA

After leaving the airport, we went out for a real dinner at a seafood place that Giao's mom knew of. The whole meal, for 5 people, was about $220, but it was a very plentiful meal, and quite good.

Whole Fish
Not as flavorful or tender as it looked.

Pea Sprouts with Garlic
Crunchy and tender at the same time, and lots of garlic. Yum.

Geoduck Soup
The broth was not that flavorful and the tofu didn't add much, but the geoduck was tender.

Clams with Basil and Chili Peppers
These were quite possibly the best clams we've ever had. They were huge and plump and very fresh.

Geoduck with Bean Sprouts and Basil
The geoduck was a bit tough, but the sauce was nice.

Lobster in Scallion Sauce
This was a HUGE plate of lobster (probably a foot and a helf in diameter, stacked 8 inches high) and the sauce was full of garlic, scallions and lobster eggs. Very, very good.
