Brunch at Canteen, San Francisco, CA

Alexis took her mom to brunch for a belated birthday present. Canteen was an obvious choice for its homey feel and clean, interesting food.


Salmon Ceviche $10
The combination of pickles and salmon seemed a strange one--so strange I had to try it. It was surprisingly good. The cornichons added a nice crunch to the citrusy, delicate salmon.


Trumpet Mushroom and Gruyere Omelette $8
Light and airy eggs, and a great earthy mushroom filling.
