Dinner at David's Supper Club on the Carnival Pride

Although 99% of the food on the Pride was free, the exception was David's Supper Club, for which you pay a $30 fee per person for a higher quality dining experience. The food was better than the food in the dining room, but ther service was worse.

Herb Butter, Paprika Butter and Truffle Butter
The truffle butter was by far the best.

Mushroom "Cappucino"
Lukewarm, but the flavor was great.

Crabcake
Not a highlight, way too much filler. Alexis beleive that the ideal ratio of crab to filler/binder in a crab cake is 90/10. This was more like 50/50.

Baked Onion Soup
Very flavorful, if not boozy.

Beef Carpaccio
Superfresh. Very tasty.

"Trio" of Escargot
This was a bit more than a trio and sadly, the escargot was masked by the other flavors in the various preparations.

Caesar Salad
The fresh anchovies were a nice addition to this pleasing salad.

Creamed Spinach
Very watery. They should have squeezed the water out before adding the cream.

Surf and Turf
The lobster was very, very good. The filet mingon was also cooked well.

Porterhouse with various salts
A very good, very big steak.

Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ice Cream
Quite good.

Chocolate Tarte with Banana Ice Cream
It should be stated that Alexis HATES bananas. She was fooled by this dessert and accidentally took a bite. She was not happy.

Tiramisu
Not authentic, very light in texture and flavor.
