Lunch at A1 Ocean, San Francisco, CA
We decided to eat at a an International Food Court that Giao remembered from years ago. When we found it, it was down a flight of stairs from the street and contained Phillipino, Vietnamese, Mexican, and Chinese counters all serving passable and very cheap lunches, most under $5. We opted for the Chinese option, which seemed to have the most variety. We each ordered 3 items plus soup for $6.20, including tax.
Sesame Chicken (a bit sweet, as expected), Chinese Chicken Nuggets (this is the only name that we can come up with for this dish, which was made of dark meat, but still oddly processed), Beef Stew (not bad) and Hot and Sour Soup (sub-par).
5 Spice Chicken (tender and flavorful), Pork Shortribs (tender) and BBQ Pork (this was "off" and we couldn't eat it for fear of getting sick, which is sad, because Alexis LOVES BBQ pork).
