Dinner at a Friend's House, San Francisco, CA

A friend of ours had a chef friend of his in town, who graciously prepared a delicious meal for us tonight.

Boursin-based Cheese Dip and Crackers
This dip was quite good as Boursin melts in your mouth.


Tomato and Roasted Red Pepper Bisque with Pancetta BLT
The soup was very flavorful , pleasantly hot and perfect for dipping this inspired version of a BLT.


Pear, Frisee, Toasted Pecan and Blue Cheese Salad
Refreshing and decadent at the same time.


Short Ribs, Brocolli Rabe and Polenta
The short ribs were melt-in-your-mouth tender and rich in flavor. The brocolli rabe provided a nice crunch to contrast the incredible creaminess of the polenta. And the plate was pretty too. It's not often that you are served a beautifully plated home-cooked meal.


Clementines
A perfect dessert, served with Prosecco.
