Mid-Morning Snack at Work

Every year Alexis' mother bakes her her favorite cake, a dense german chocolate cake with a layer of strained fruit preserves, and FedExes it to her. This year's cake was made with orange marmalade instead of the stanard apricot, but it was still very good.
