Lunch from Annadaata, San Francisco, CA
I'd been wanting to try Annadaata for a while, after reading about it in the NY Times a year or so ago and hearing about it on Eat Feed. Annadaata is a delivery only service that strives to replicate the homecooked meals delivered to businesspeople in India daily. The menu changes daily and there are only 3 options: meat, North Indian Vegetarian and South Indian vegetarian. The food definitely tasted a bit healthier than your standard restaurant Indian fare, but the portions were pretty small.
Chicken Curry with Chapati
Not enough meat, but the curry itself was flavorful, bright and spicy without being overpowering.
