Brunch at Brickhouse, San Francisco, CA

We decided to give Brickhouse a try as we had heard it had a great burger. Although we were not impressed by the burger, and the chicken fried steak we tried to order was unavailable, we did like th biscuits and gravy very much.

Tomato Bisque $6
The bisque was a bit of a misnomer, as this soup was not particularly smooth or creamy. It was a decent rendition, but not something we would order again.

3 Cheese and Bacon Waygu Burger $12
The burger was large and the cheese and bacon plentiful, but the bun was disgusting, both soggy and mealy. Also, we ordered the burger medium rare and got it medium well. If you can't get the temperature of your meat right, you shouldn't be serving it. Finally, this burger claimed to be Waygu (the American version of Kobe) but it was indistinguishable from regular beef.

Biscuits with Sausage Gravy $4
The gravy was a bit thin, but the flavor was excellent and it contained lots of bits of meaty goodness. The biscuits themselves were a bit tough, but soaked up the gravy nicely.
