Dinner at Plumpjack Cafe, San Francisco, CA
We headed to Plumpjack for a second time, this time with our friend L and his brother, whom we'd never met. Plumpjack was great once again. The food was wonderful, and service was friendly and on point. A great experience all around. We apologize in advance for the fairly vague descriptions below. We'd had a couple of drinks by the time we made it to dinner and forgot to take tasting notes. Most of what we remember is that all of the food was really, really good.
Amuse Buche (gratuit)
We don't exactly remember what this was, but we do remember that it was very tasty.
Fish $25
We don't remember what kind of fish this was the skin was nice and crispy, the flesh was tender and it was totally delicious.

Veal Sweetbread Dumplings $13
Served with snails, spring Onion and lettuce sauce with garlic and licorice. Absolutely wonderful. You rarely see sweetbreads prepared in any way except sauteed or fried, so this was a nice change.
