Dinner at Home
Pan Fried Porterhouse with Cheesy Horseradish Cauliflower Puree
If you remember to thaw the steaks before you leave for work, then this is a 10 minute meal. The steak is simply marinated for about 15 minutes in steak seasoning and worcestershire sauce, then pan fried in a mixture of butter and olive oil for about 2 or 3 minutes on each side (for medium rare). We like to use this cauliflower mash in place of mashed potatos and actually, we like it a lot better than potatos.
Cheesy Horseradish Cauliflower
-1 head cauliflower, cut into chunks
-1 cup horseradish cheese
-1/4 cup cream
-salt and pepper to taste
Boil the cauliflower chunks until fork tender and drain. Return the cauliflower to the pot and add the cream. Puree with an immersion blender, then stir in the cheese and season.
