Lunch at Pivnice U Pivrnce , Prague, Czech Republic

For our first meal in Prague we decided to go traditional, and ate at a pub recommended in our quidebook. The food was plentiful and the prices were cheap.

Meat and Dumpling Platter $10
This plate included duck, pork neck, pork shoulder, bacon dumplings, potato dumplings, regular dumplings and sourkraut. It was an enormous amount of food and was pretty tasty.

Pork "Pocket" $5
This dish consisted of a thin layer of pork, wrapped around sourkraut and was delicious. Sadly, Alexis got upload on overpriced fries she didn't even want because she thought they came with the dish.

Comments:
Avoid this restaurant at all costs. They rip you off with a "cover charge" of 10 crowns for bread you didn't even order, slap the service charge on the bill but don't tell you (because all you get for the bill is an amount scrawled on a bit of paper with no breakdown of prices)so you inadvertenty tip them twice, the food has been plated up in advance and is microwaved and tasteless. Search out somewhere with better quality food and authentic czech service.
