Dinner at Ducca, San Francisco, CA
We went to meet a friend for dinner at Ducca, as our first choice, B, was closed for a private party. Although we were seated relatively quickly, the service was horrendous, as usual. It's a shame, since the food is quite good. They really need to hire more competent people. Tonight we were routinely ignored. We had to ask for water twice before we got it. We had to ask the waiter if there were specials (which there were). It was ridiculous.
Pappardelle with Braised Lamb Ragu $22
A large version of a tasty, homey pasta dish. The only thing disconcerting about this dish was the use of big chunks of carrot.
