Celebratory Meal at Fringale, San Francisco, CA
Today we closed on our new place, so we went out for a celebratory meal at our favorite French bistro (that we will no longer be close to once we move).
Moules (above) Frites (below) $15
Tasty mussels, plump and tender, served with crunchy and delicious fries.
Creme Brulee $8
Fringale used to have the best creme brulee in town. It was small and served in a cup that was taller than it was wide. Sadly, they have since switched to the more common large shallow dish. Now the ratio of crispy sugar to custard is all wrong and the custard is warm and slightly curdled in texture instead of being cold and smooth. It is a disappointment, but I guess it just means that I'll be eating less creme brulee.
