Dinner at Chili's, Ft. Lauderdale Airport

We were still pretty hungry after our meatballs sandwiches, so Giao ventured outside of our little barren gate area, past security, and into better food options. He found a Chili's, and we ate, but his eyes were bigger than both our stomachs and we couldn't finish it all.

Boneless Buffalo Wings $9
These were very bad for you, but in a very good way. Giao learned from a uncharacteristically helpful TSA employee that if you pour the sauces into the styrofoam, they won't get taken away at security, but if you try to carry the sauces in in their little plastic cups, you won't get past security. Ridiculous.

Chicken Quesodilla $10
This was a really big portion, but was so so in taste, as it was sort of soggy because of the salsa being poured over it.

Quick Bite at Americo's Pizzeria, Ft. Lauderdale Airport

This was one of the only options available in our terminal of the airport.

Meatball Sandwich $8
This wasn't actually as bad as we thought it would be, but since we didn't really eat the bread it didn't really fill us up.

Crappy Wrappy from Salad Works in the Philadelphia Airport

Chicken Caesar Wrap $6
Although this was decently priced, it was sub par in flavor and quality. And although it was called "caesar" the dressing was really Italian.

A Surprising Breakfast Deal at MDW

As we surveyed the food court at MDW, we were resigned as usual to over-pay for our morning repast. We considered finishing up our Chicago Food Trifecta with the Italian Beef, or another hideous rendition of the bagel breakfast sandwich when we ran across Illinois Bar and Grill tucked into the corner of the food court.

Unlike it's neighbors, which are your standard counter walk up, it has actual walls which house 3 booths and a bar. The most surprising part was that it offers up the same menu as its out of airport location, without your standard airport markup. A 5 egg omelet for $6! A breakfast sandwich for $3! We both ended up ordering the breakfast sandwich, adding cheese and a generous portion of bacon.

Bacon, Egg and Cheese $6
We mistakenly ordered the sandwich on a "bun", which we thought was going to be a toasted roll, but which was, in fact, a regular hamburger bun. However, this enormous sandwich was filling and was certainly a good deal.
