Bagels, and Whitefish, Too! at House of Bagels, San Francisco, CA

We were craving some bagels and we heard House of Bagels had whitefish salad, so we decided to give it a shot. It was very satisfying.

Toasted Everything Bagel with Sundried Tomato Cream Cheese $3
Chewy, warm and tasty. The cream cheese was a little thin, strangely.

Toasted Everything Bagel with Whitefish, Tomato and Onion $5
You really can't get whitefish salad very many places in San Francisco, and this was a pleasant surprise.

Vietnamese Sandwich at Irving Cafe and Deli, San Francisco, CA

Irving Cafe and Deli is just a few blocks away from us and while it's hours are a little strange (it closes daily at 6), the food is delicious and it is very cheap. The entire space is about 200 square feet and even so, they do have a few seats at a counter. The ambiance is not great, but the food and prices can't be beat.

Thit Nuong (BBQ Pork) Bahn Mi $4
This is the most expensive sandwich at Irving Cafe and Deli and it is delicious and packed with meat. The other sandwiches range in price starting at about $2.50. This is one of the best deals around.

Another Tasty Lunch from The Sentinel (and Yank Sing), San Francisco, CA

These are some terrible pictures, and they don't do the food justice at all. The food was, once again, pretty darn delicious. We are glad to have a Dennis Leary joint so close to our offices.

Pastrami Sandwich $8
The bread was hot and grilled and held in the ooey gooey cheese, slaw and meat in the very tasty sandwich.

Pulled Pork Special $11
This pork was served with an apricot mustard sauce, a cucumber salad and strawberries and whipped cream for dessert. A small portion, but a well balanced meal nonetheless.

Avocado Gazpacho $6
This was not great, actually. Strike two on the soups for The Sentinel, but the sandwiches make up for it.

Giao rightfully guessed that Alexis would not bring enough food from The Sentinel to fill him up, so he stopped by Yank Sing to pick up some Fried Rice and dim sum.

Siu Mai, Fried Rice and Fried Wontons $8
Greasy goodness.

Snacks at Solly's, Vancouver, BC

We had been talking about the great bagels at Solly's and then we passed by. Sadly, we'd been craving whitefish, and they didn't have it. However, they did have some other tasty goodies.

Potato and Cheese Knish $1.50
This would have been better warm, but it was still tasty.

Chocolate Rugalach $0.25
A tasty. chocolatey bite.

Lunch Catered from Speciality's, San Francisco, CA

Caesar Salad and Blue Cheese and Roast Beef Sandwich
Alexis ate the meat and cheese out of the sandwich and ate the salad. The meal left something to be desired.

Lunch from Specialties, San Francisco, CA

Fruit Salad, Regular Salad and Roast Beef Salad
This was a lunch catered in at work and it was ok. Alexis isn't really a fan of Specialties, with their squishy bread and stingy fillings. The fruit was good though.
